  11. 2-3 tbsps Veg oil
  12. 1 Tsp Ghee
  13. as needed Water
  14. Whole Spices
  15. 1 Small Cinnamon stick
  16. 2-3 Green Cardamom
  17. 4-5 Cloves
  18. As required Few Black Peppercorns

Steps to make to make Lahori Chicken Chole

  1. Marinate chicken with 1/4 tsp till you prepare the ingredients about 10-15 minutes. Heat oil and add the whole spices. When it crackles add the chopped onion and saute till it turns translucent, add the chicken and braise it for about 10-15, stirring frequently.
  2. Then add ginger garlic paste and saute it. Then add the dry spices and bhunno it, add little water to prevent from burning. Once you have saurte, add enough water to cook the chicken, before you add the tomato. Add salt and ghee too.
  3. Add the boiled Chole/ Chickpea along with the tomato. Then add the whisked Dahi and mix well for a minute or so and let it cook for about 5-10. Check salt and gravy consistency and adjust accordingly. Enjoy with Roti, Naan, Tandoori etc.
  4. Cook the chicken by 70 to 80% before you add the tomato puree. Once you add tomato, mix it well and cook for about 10-15 minutes, till Tomato is well cooked.
