  1. Take flour in a bowl.Add the salt.Add 1 1/2 tbsp oil.Mix well so that it gets a sand like texture. Now add 1/2 cup of water gradually to the mixture and knead to form a dough.

To make the peas paste,boil the peas and drain the water.Now grind it in the grinder and make a paste.Now heat 2 tbsp oil in a kadai add the peas paste in it.Add ginger paste, roasted cumin powder,red chilli powder, sugar and salt.Cook till the mixture becomes little dry.Remove from heat and keep aside.
  3. To make Aloo Dum, heat oil in a pan.Put cinnamon stick, cardamom pods,bay leaf,asafoetida and stir for 2 minutes. Now add the ginger paste and cook for 2 more minutes.Now add in the tomato puree,turmeric powder,chilli powder,sugar and salt and cook until oil separates.Now add in the potatoes and cook for 5 more minutes.Now pour water as required and cook covered for 20 minutes.
