- For the filling
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 boiled potatoes
- 1 small beetroot
- 1 / 2 carrot (boiled)
- Handful green peas
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tsp chicken masala
- 1/4 th tsp garam masala
- 15 ml oil
- For bread dholaks
- 4 slices white bread
- Prepared filling
- Oil for frying
Instructions to make to make Bread dholaks (bread rolls)
- Heat a kadhai with oil. Saute chopped onion. Add salt, turmeric and chicken masala. Keep flame slow. Mix all well.
- Add boiled potatoes, carrot. Mash. Add blanched green peas and steamed grated beetroot. Add red chilli powder. Mix all well.
- Add garam masala and mix. Saute for sometime. Switch the flame off. Let the filling mixture cool. Make small cylinders and keep aside. Next take breads, cut off the sides. (Keep the sides to make bread crumbs.)
- Take water in a bowl. Just dip the bread slice and take out. Press to remove extra water. Now place the filling cylinders.Fold from both sides. Press from all sides and give a cylindrical dholak shape.

- Keep these dholaks in fridge for 15 minutes. You can make these and keep. Fry just before your party starts.
- Take pan/ kadhai with oil. Oil must be medium hot. Put the bread dholaks. Do not disturb. Let it get fried. As it turns golden brown colour, flip and fry carefully from all sides.
- As you get the desired colour and crispiness, drain the extra oil. It's ready... Serve hot... with sauce..
