Recipe of Homemade Pav bhaji

Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Pav bhaji:
- For bhaji.
- 6 medium size boiled potatoes
- 2 tomato paste (grind till smooth)
- 1/2 cup carrot, grated
- 1/2 cup beetroot, grated
- 1/2 cup cabbage, grated
- 1/2 capsicum finely chopped
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 chilli finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
- 2 tsp paw bhaji masala
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 2+ 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 handful coriander leaves
- For pav..
- 2 pac pav
- as required Butter
- as required Pav bhaji masala
Instructions to make to make Pav bhaji
- Heet 2tbsp butter and 1tbsp oil in a kadhai. Add in ginger-garlic paste, chilli and onions. Stir and cook till onion becomes translucent. Further, add in carrot, cabbage, capsicum and beetroot. Mix everything together stir and cook. Keep the flame on medium.
- Once the veggies turned soft, add in salt, turmeric, chilli powder and Pav N vbaava Bhaji masala. Mix well add cook for 2 minutes. Further, add in tomato paste and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- Now add mashed potatoes. Mashed and mix everything with pav bhaj masher. Stir continuously and cook for another 4-5 minutes or till whole mixture come together and leave the pan (doesn't stick to the pan).
- Now, gradually add in approx 2 cup of water. Stir slowly and mix till the mixture turn lumps free. Once the mixture starts boiling add in 1tbsp butter, chopped coriander leaves and 2tsp lemon juice.
- Adjust salt and spice. Turn off flame. Bhaji is ready.
- Heat a tawa. Keep the heat to a low and then add 1 to 2tbsp butter or more if you like. When the butter begins to melt, add 1tsp of pav bhaji masala (for 2 to 3 pav). (You can skip pav bhaji masala if you prefer.) Mix the pav bhaji masala and butter very well . Then place the pav on the butter. Press with a spatula and rotate the pav all over the melted butter . Now turn over the pav. Press gently with a spatula and rotate them on the tawa. Add more butter if required.
- Transfer roasted pav into the serving plate. Serve with hot bhaji, some onions and lemon wedges. If required add extra butter and lemon juice while serving.
