- 2 tsp finely chopped ginger
- 2 green chillies slit
- 2 spring onions (white+ green)
- 1 capsicum chopped
- 3 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tsp red chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp Soya sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tsp Schezwan sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp corn flour mixed with water
- as per taste Salt
- as per taste Pepper powder
Instructions to make to make Soya Manchurian
- First add 3 -4 Cup of water to a boil, add soya chunks and allow to rest for sometime until they turns soft.
- Squeeze off the excess water from the chunks, rinse them well and repeat squeezing to remove excess water.
- Add them in a mixing bowl along with all-purpose flour, corn flour, salt, pepper, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder/sauce, soya sauce and mix everything well. Sprinkle little water for the flour to bind the chunks. Set aside for 10mins.
- Add oil in wok a and deep fry them until nice golden and crisp. Remove them in a paper napkin.
- Meanwhile to prepare a sauce -- heat oil in a pan / kadhai, add garlic ginger and saute for a min on medium flame. Add spring onions and saute on a high flame for a min. Next to add capsicum and saute for another 2 mins.
- Now in a small bowl add tomato sauce, red chilli sauce, Schezwan sauce, soya sauce, sugar, vinegar and mix everything well. Add this prepared mixture to the pan and stir well.
- Add corn flour and water in a bowl and mix, make sure it has no lumps. Add this corn flour mix to the pan and stir continuously. Cook until the sauce thickens.
- Add pepper powder and salt according to your taste, mix well, at last add fried soya chunks, mix and cook covered for 2 mins and switch off the flame.
- Delicious soya chunks Manchurian is ready, serve hot.
